I love the idea of your plugin, I would love to donate if I get it to work.
My environment: PHP 5.2.12, WP 3.01, I have a server-provider that allows cron-job, I have desinstalled all other mailig-plugins to try yours as only email-tool, have also desinstalled and re-installed it several times as you suggested in other posts.
All regular emails out of WP directly work well.
Now: only your tool says "unmöglich zu versenden. Bitte erneut versuchen" (in english: inability to send, try again)
After this error message: it lost now the
- subject line / the subject article
- the mailinglist-addressee or source
Furthermore:
if I add certain adresses by hand I get following warning (bug):
"adress might be wrong" - irrespectively if I add a colon after the 2nd Adress, a CRLF or whatever.
now if I just enter one single adress and I add a ENTER (CR) after it also gives warning
So - what to do?
Suggestion: if you could extend your "blackbox" cronjob-feature (well ment but seems to provide problems as I see in the other mails)
and you just add the option of using regular sending, e.g. via smtp (would be great, I could use specific accounts then) or even simpler the regular mail() option of WP -
together with the option of making pauses between mails
e.g. X second(s) between each mail, and all Y mails make extra pause of Z seconds
- so does famous supermailer
than you have a sending option that keeps this plugin busy - OK, but it would work under all circumstances for all users and I still get a 2000 mails out per hour,
and it would definitly work in any case - even with providers that do not offer cron jobs
See, my provider has cheaper packages that has a limited number of mysql-dbs and no cron jobs and most of my sites run in this cheap mode, so there I could never use your tool.
Now so far to the point that doesnot work or is still buggy -
I need your precious tool very much, I would donate immediatly if we get it to run!
Furthermore - in addition a feature-wish: put the Newsletters in a file or into the DB so that I can re-send them later or reuse them later? Then it would be almost perfect not only for simple NL, like I have them running (physicians website).
tx a lot, Heli
