Hi all,

First a tip to my hat for this great plugin! The integration with qTranslate is so convienient.

I would like to include a personalised heading in my newsletter template that changes for each language that the newsletter is being sent in. To be precise: 'Dear' [USER-NAME] above the [CONTENT] tag. And 'Dear' should be translatable, of course. I have tried qTranslate's text tags DearBeste, etc., but they are ignored because the template itself is not filtered through qTranslate.

I know the editor creates specific content for each language. But that content is always output on the online version too. Some shortcode tags even invent their own default text, eg. [USER-NAME] becomes the untranslated word 'Subscriber'. But a heading like 'Dear Subscriber' is unnecessary on the online version.

Is there any way to use translatable text in a template? Perhaps I can append my own shortcode tag (like [CUSTOM-MAIL-HEADING]) to the few translatable items that can be configured for each language on the Settings -> Text page somehow?

PS I found a small error in the dutch translation. After clicking on the unsubscribe link, a page opens up with the text "Om uw af te melden klik op deze knop". It should be "Om u af te melden klik op deze knop".

You could re-filter the newsletter content after the standard filter, so the $content will contain both theme html and newsletter body.
So, you can use qTranslate's text tags into newsletter theme (as in your above example), then add a function like the following:
```
function custom_filter_in_theme ( $content, $newsletter, $recipient, $stop_recursive_the_content=false ) {
	if ( !is_object( $recipient ) ) $recipient = new stdClass();
	if ( empty( $recipient->lang ) ) $recipient->lang = alo_em_short_langcode ( get_locale() );
	$content = alo_em_translate_text ( $recipient->lang, $content );
	return $content;
}
add_filter ( 'alo_easymail_newsletter_content', 'custom_filter_in_theme', 20, 4 );
```
Note the priority arg set to 20, to make the job after standard filter.
I've not tested, let us know if it works.

Hi alo, just to confirm: your suggestion works very well. I added your code to my theme's functions.php and used these qTranslate language tags in my newsletter HTML template:

DearBeste

Translated perfectly!
